Grave Next Door Summons Dark Forces with “Blood Moon Hymn” from Upcoming Album Sorry No Candy*

Michigan’s Grave Next Door has delivered a powerful taste of their upcoming album Sorry No Candy with their latest single, “Blood Moon Hymn.” This track, freshly released on October 22, 2024, is a testament to their mastery of doom and stoner metal. Signed with Black Doomba Records, Grave Next Door crafts a sound that’s as heavy as it is hypnotic, and with Sorry No Candy they’re promising to deliver a raw, gritty experience that dives into the shadows of mortality, addiction, and war.

“Blood Moon Hymn” is a slow-burner that doesn’t shy away from intensity. Driven by the foreboding riffs of guitarist Anthony Salerno and punctuated by the haunting vocals and thunderous basslines of his brother Patrick Salerno, the track wraps around listeners like a dark fog. This single pulls you under with its layered heaviness, keeping you locked in as its doom-laden grooves unfold with mesmerizing precision. Fans of doom legends like Cream, Weedeater, and Melvins will find themselves at home here, but Grave Next Door’s approach is uniquely their own. They’ve managed to inject a fierce, modern grit that makes “Blood Moon Hymn” resonate as both a homage and a fresh statement.

The story of Grave Next Door itself adds depth to their sound. Formed in 2018 by the Salerno brothers, this band is built on a foundation of life experiences. Patrick’s background as a bounty hunter and deep-sea diver brings a hardened edge to the lyrics and bass lines, while Anthony’s knack for storytelling through riffs keeps the songs anchored in a shadowy, cinematic atmosphere. Together, they’ve crafted a sonic experience that’s dark, weighty, and filled with emotional gravity. “Blood Moon Hymn” is a strong reminder that Grave Next Door is a force to be reckoned with in the doom scene.

Since their debut single, “As Heavy as Texas,” which gained traction online in 2019, Grave Next Door has steadily built a name for themselves. Remastered and re-released in 2023 by Black Doomba Records, the single was a stepping stone, leading them to perform at notable festivals like Maryland Doom Fest, Tennessee Metal Devastation Festival, and Kraken Doom Fest. Their first album, Sanctified Heathen, released in March 2022, showcased their raw potential, and now, with Sorry No Candy, they’re ready to take it to the next level.

Recorded in Atlanta at Black Doomba Studio and produced by the legendary Tommy Stewart, Sorry No Candy is set for release on November 1, 2024. Pre-sale begins October 16, 2024, exclusively via Black Doomba’s Bandcamp. Fans can expect an album that solidifies Grave Next Door’s place in the doom and stoner metal pantheon—a place that’s heavy, haunting, and filled with a fierce honesty that cuts to the bone. With “Blood Moon Hymn” setting the tone, the anticipation is real. If doom and grit are what you seek, Grave Next Door delivers it in spades.
