Kings Of Other Wings

Kings Of Other Wings

‘Phoenix Rising’ (Heavy Metal)

Kings Of Other Wings was born out of a Black Sabbath cover band when the four members began writing some original material. The band got together writing new material and rehearsing to prepare for recording some of the songs at Hellfire Studios in 2017. More recordings were added in 2019. Then just as the band were ready for gigs in the Melbourne metal scene, covid hit after they were only able to do a single live show. With live shows not happening they focused upon completing the album, often remotely or in the studio as lockdowns would allow. Joel Taylor of the Black Lodge Recording Studio, Brunswick East worked with the band to complete the recording and did a killer job mixing and mastering the album, ready for release in January of 2022. They had one live online performance at Singing Bird Studios in May of 2020 but apart from that they have not played live since. Now that the lockdowns have eased in Melbourne the band hope to promote the album through live shows and have also begun writing new material for a follow up album.

Chugger

Chugger

‘Five Feet Down (Reborn)’ (Groove Death Metal)

CHUGGER is a five-piece death machine hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden. Sonically they walk the razor wired border between groove and death metal, expertly navigating and picking between the two. Like a bastard child of Lamb of God and Machine Head, fused with a healthy dose of old-school At The Gates, this groove death metal monster proves that the golden days of Gothenburg metal is far from over. Visually the band dips their blood-stained fists in buckets filled with Rammstein, Slipknot and the horror movies we all love to hate. On stage CHUGGER is a well-oiled machine that has delivered intense performances on top stages across multiple continents all over the world, praised by masses and the founding father of Wacken Open Air himself.
If you have the opportunity to catch them live – buckle up, kid. You’re in for a treat!
“Every track really shows what Chugger is truly capable of after years of honing their craft to the point where it’s extremely deadly to the touch.”
“Chugger is part of a terrific group of contemporary bands that keeps Sweden at the very forefront of modern metal.”

Arc Arrival

‘Forsaken’ (Modern Metal)

Stirlingshire tech metal trio Arc Arrival made their entrance onto the scene with the release of their debut EP C.H.A.O.S in 2020. The first 2 singles Count Havoc Among Our Sins and Re:Birth picked up national and global airplay across the likes of Total Rock and Amazing Radio. The band then decided to shake things up a little with a 3rd release from the EP, Trigger The Silence, and brought in alternative Hip-Hop duo Hessian Renegade to remix the track. The resulting collaboration brought the band more mainstream attention across the airwaves, both national and global. In 2021 the band released the double a-side Engineered To Die and Resurrection which picked up airplay across new territories including the USA and mainland Europe.
New single Forsaken is released on Friday 25th February and is from the forthcoming EP Amethyst which is released 29/4/22.
“As the title suggests, Forsaken is about being left behind and underestimated to make a return. The importance of the song’s message is that no matter what happens in your life, if everyone is a false friend and no longer genuine, and all you feel is loneliness and despair then do not give in to the darkness and always rise up to become stronger. Only you can pick yourself off the floor and the people who forsook you will find that you were not as weak as they once supposed” – Arc Arrival
