¿Quien son Drollery?

Drollery se empieza a gestar desde principios del 2019, pero no es hasta octubre de ese mismo año cuando la formación da un paso adelante y se completa. Algunos de los grupos anteriores de los miembros son: Surfface, Stain o La Pantera Rusa.

Oriundos de la ciudad española de Albacete, beben de varios estilos, siendo el “Punk & Roll” el que más se acerca al sonido final. La temática de sus canciones es diversa, basándose casi siempre en las de películas de serie B o Z, ciencia-ficción, monstruos y también algunas situaciones cotidianas contadas con toques de humor.

En diciembre de 2019 debutan en casa, en la sala Post Mortem de Albacete con un ‘sold out’ junto a las bandas Tangana en las Gaunas e Interceptores.

En marzo de 2020 entran a los estudios “Baboon Records” de Albacete a grabar su primer trabajo discográfico, de nombre “Caerbannog” (como guiño a la cueva del conejo de la película de los Monty Python: “Los Caballeros de la Mesa Cuadrada”), producido de forma totalmente independiente, con 5 temas que completan el EP. En él, cuentan con la colaboración de grupos como Tassottis, Interceptores, 2000 Maníacos o The Niftys. El disco ve la luz a principios de abril.

En junio de 2020 presentan su primer videoclip en formato de falso directo, con el nombre “Directo desde la Cueva“, con la dirección de Juanan López al sonido e IRB Fotografía a la imagen.

En diciembre de 2020 publican Bastard Santa en colaboración con Dreamer Strings, una canción navideña en formato Single, en la que nos hablan de cómo van a acabar con Santa Claus.

En enero de 2021 presentan el videoclip del tema Vino de Lejos en YouTube, dirigido por Nelson Tocinarro.

En la actualidad se encuentran en el proceso compositivo de su próximo álbum, el cual verá la luz en forma de LP en los próximos meses.

Who are Drollery?

Drollery born in early 2019, but is not until October of that year when the band takes a step forward and get completed. Some of the previous bands of their members are: Surfface, Stain o La Pantera Rusa.

Originally from the Spanish town Albacete, their influences are wide, being “Punk & Roll” the closest to the final sound. The songs themes are varied, most of the time based in series B or Z films, sci-fi, monsters and also everyday situations being told with sense of humour.

December 2019 they debut in their town, at Post Mortem concert hall with a ‘sold out’ with the bands Tangana en las Gaunas and Interceptores.

March 2020, they started recording at “Baboon Records” from Albacete their first musical work, named “Caerbannog” (as a reference of the rabbit’s cove on the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”), self-produced, with 5 songs completing the EP. Bands like Tassottis, Interceptores, 2000 Maníacos o The Niftys collaborate on the album. Caerbannog releases in early April of that year.

June 2020, they film their first videoclip as a fake-show, named “Directo desde la Cueva“, with the sound engineer Juanan López, and IRB Fotografía as image director.

December 2020, Bastard Santa was released with the collaboration of Dreamer Strings, a Christmas Single, where they tell us the way they kill Santa Claus.

January 2021, they show us the videoclip of the song Vino de Lejos at YouTube, with Nelson Tocinarro as director.

Nowadays, they are composing their next album, who will be released as a LP in the next months.
