The new EP is called WAIRUA and contains five new songs including three older bonus tracks. In the world of the Tangata Whenua, the indigenous people of New Zealand, Wairua is described as the non-physical spirit of a person which exists beyond death. It represents the life essence of every human being.

The band was formed by Fernando Lima (vocals) in 1994, but just really started regular rehearsals in 1998. Rodrigo Nunes (bass), Beto Loureiro (drums), Oderus and Marcos Amorim (guitars) joined the band and released a demo-tape, “Where dark and Light Divide…”, in 1999. In 2000 Rafael Porto replaced Oderus and this is, incredibly, the same line-up today.
The EP was recorded in Belo Horizonte MG at the Riff studio, mixing and mastering by the renowned Danish producer Tue Madsen, who has in his curriculum works with artists such as Rob Halford, Meshuggah, Vader, Sick Of It All, Behemoth, Dark Tranquility and Kataklysm . The first single from the EP, the track Burn Inside, had its video clip released on national network by the TV show Alto Falante in November 2020. The second video clip, Until Quando, was released in April 2021 by the same program.
The new release of Lunar Woods and its title track is about how to endure suffering and get out of a vicious circle. It’s about returning to life, re-experience happiness and joy, without pain.

Being part of the underground metal scene in Southern Ontario, Canada for the past two decades playing in bands, Mark Arruda finally releases his debut solo album. From fronting bands like Bloodshoteye in the early 2000s to his current band, Aquila, Mark has played and booked a lot of shows in Southern Ontario region.
It all started when Tommy approached Lane in Woodstock, IL and asked him ” Do you have any eyeliner ” to which Lane responded, ” What about me says I wear makeup? “. The two had a laugh and Lane directed Tommy to his merch girl who gave him the makeup. Later during the tour Tommy approached Lane and said, ” I want to write a song with you “.
Sheltered Sun hails from Vaasa, Finland and was created to demonstrate a duality. The name was made as a personification of light and dark, comfort from the light, solace from the dark. These contrasts and abstracts define the band’s nature and thematics.
“The Haunted House” is the fourth album release from the Danish old school heavy metal band Wasted – probably the oldest heavy metal band in the Kingdom of Denmark since 1981.
